Sunup from Olympia Wa

A day of shooting in some wilderness areas around Olympia and I ended up choosing

this image that I took early morning, out of my apartment window, as the sun

was rising and yesterdays clouds were dissipating.

I did this painting from a photograph I took in Bridgeport, California right before Thanksgiving week end. I prefer painting from life. There’s nothing like working outdoors. It’s harder though because things are always changing.  That week end I had my paints in the back of my car but I don’t know what I was thinking. It was 12 degrees.
